Principal's Message

Welcome to Benavidez!

I am proud to join Benavidez Elementary School as your new principal. I bring school leadership experience spanning pre-kindergarten through eighth grade and a background in English as a Second Language. I am passionate about helping students become strong readers, supporting teachers, and building meaningful partnerships with families.

Before joining Benavidez, I served as principal at Emerson Elementary School and Las Americas. At Emerson, I helped lead the campus from a C to a B accountability rating and earn five distinctions. At Las Americas, I supported growth in reading and mathematics as measured by NWEA assessments. These experiences strengthened my belief that high expectations, strong instruction, and teamwork can create meaningful opportunities for students.

As I begin my journey at Benavidez, I look forward to getting to know our students, staff, and community. My vision is to build a high-performing school where every student feels valued, receives strong instruction, and is challenged to reach their full potential.

I believe education opens doors to a brighter future. I am excited to work alongside you to make Benavidez a school we are all proud to call our own.
